The History of our repeater: We are several Friends who are Ham radio operators from the Eugene, Oregon, USA area that do not all have access to the HF Ham Radio bands. We communicate using using a small backyard repeater using 147.36+ by permission of the local ham radio repeater coordinator since 1995. However our 430.000 is actually a coordinated frequency. We use a Tone of 77Hz both on the input an output to reduce interference with Alohah, OR. Our repeater operates between the Hours of: 7 AM to 10 PM. If you are in town please give us a call. At our receive site at our parents we used a Kenwood TM732-A dual band to Receive on 147.360 with our link freq. of 70cm/438.000 using a tone of 88.5Hz at 5 Watts on an AR-270 Antenna at 35 foot 2 story roof mounted antenna pole located at Longitude 123° 11' 32" GPS 123° 11.364' Latitude 44° 4' 10" GPS N44° 04.170' to transmit 1/2 mile away to our Kenwood TM733-A Transmitting at 10 Watts. This dual site setup served us well and kept us from having to spend money on a duplexer for many years. We used 147.36 for 11 years from 1995 until April 6, 2006 when another party who at some point was coordinated with the frequency took over the use of the 147.36 frequency and placed his repeater on Blanton Heights. We do not know what tone he uses or if it is an open repeater. On April 6, 2006 we started talking to K7PFJ about getting a replacement frequency and 444.900+ was suggested. We purchased the Motorola Radius M1225LS and a RC-100 controller and traded the 2 meter duplexer for a 70 cm duplexer with Mike-K7PFJ. Mike set the components up in a rack and did the original programming of the RC-100 controller. We had problems for several months with keeping the controller working properly. Erick-KD6RRR came over on April 13, 2007and did a hard re-set on the controller and re-programmed the controller from the ground up. The repeater is now working well. If
